Gloria, hope the link helps. i have baby papayas and bunches of of bananas on my rajapuri, they look so cool. am going to be cutting back if anyone is interested.

magic links don't work anymore? search of tapioca shows it. a definite tropical, in no way winter hardy.

Here it is Arlene - http://davesgarden.com/showthread/70743.html You need to include the http :// in the link or it won't work.

Arlene,
Tell me more about the V. Tapioca..is it started from seed...cuttings?....it is very pretty...as you can see I'm a variegated nut. Thanks

Poppysue...Thank you too.

i am going to start cuttings when this cool spells ends this weekend (i am so optimistic). i rooted some this summer pretty easily. will not survive frost, tiny white clusters of blooms in the fall, heard they reseed but haven't seen it here. am going to cut it back, dig it up and try to overwinter. you can cook the roots, are poisonous if not cooked. not interested in trade, but i owe you something....have a couple of things in mind, will get with you soon.

Trying to root cuttings in the winter outside last year. Cool spell or not...course I'm talking about Brugmansia again. Good thing we don't get too many drops below 32.

Oakland, CA(Zone 10b)

Glory, did you ever find you a Variegated Cast Iron plant? I could cut a small segment - 2 leaves' worth - for you if you're interested. It's not much, but it's a start!

Chris - THGA

Chris,
Barb here in MS has a small one for me but if you want to trade for some Brug cuttings I'd be happy to take it off your hands....that way I can have two of them. Let me know what Brugs you have and which ones you are looking for. Thanks so much.
