A NOID seedling is germinated from these seedpods above that I forgot to harvest. The seeds were dispersed everywhere when the pod cracked open. I found a seed, stuck it into a container below, a couple weeks passed. Here the baby came along.

I've never grown one from seed. I think it would be fun to try. My biggest tree puts out several each year but they are way at the top so I just let them open and hope one starts somewhere. So far, none have or my husband thought they were weeds and use Round up on them.:(
DHs are like that. lol they don't recognize precious plants from weeds. lol. The seeds don't germinate easily unless you stand the flat seed on its side (as appose to laying flat) they germinate just being below the soil.
Hah, I've another seedpod that just cracked open. So I brought it inside before the seeds were dispersed by wind. Pic. was taken day before yesterday.
