cooking goat

I bought a package of goat meat recently. It had 2 chops that looked liked lamb chops and 2 meaty ribs. I broiled them but they are tougher than shoe leather. Even though I love "The Joy of Cooking" which usually discusses ingredients in general before giving any recipes, there was nothing that gave me a clue. I can say the flavor was quite nice.
Can I get any help?
