At first look I thought it was the Common Tailorbird, but when I looked closely on the PC monitor after uploading it, I realized it was not the Tailorbird. I looked up my book - Book on Indian Birds. It had a resemblance of the Prinia. I thought of posting it here with a request for help.
Looking for identification of this one - Prinia?
I'll have a look through my books tomorrow - too late just now!
Resin
Ok Resin, I'll look forward to it.
Looks a lot like the Ashy prenia, just from a bit of googling...lol!
I'd agree with Ashy Prinia Prinia socialis.
"Common over much of its extensive range. One of the most familiar and widespread of Indian birds, there being few bushy gardens where this attractive prinia is not encountered" - Handbook of the Birds of the World
I've added it to BirdFiles here: http://davesgarden.com/guides/birdfiles/go/3391/ (it wasn't in!) if you want to add the pic there ;-)
Resin
Thanks Resin. The book I referred to also carries an illustration of it, but I was not too sure. Yes, surely I'll add the picture and another closer view I have managed.
