The excessive heat and drought have done quite a number on many of our gardens, but some of the plants are actually flourishing and doing well. What's got you excited in your gardens and/or yards?
For me, it's this scarlet fruit passion flower. I got it from Josephine at the spring RU in Arlington. Planted it in June when all the hot weather started. I thought for sure it was a goner, but it's done great!! It's growing like crazy and even has some buds on it! Can't wait to see them.
This little flame acanthus didn't get very big this year, but it's blooming its little heart out and the hummers certainly appreciate it.
I guess the most exciting thing for me is The Twisted Sisters garden which is a work in progress this is the 3rd year and is highlighted by the HVB that has now reached to the very top of the twisted Crabapple tree that started this garden that is now dedicated to my two Daughters of whom I will add a picture of them in their garden

Stephanie, I am so glad that vine is doing well for you!! Be sure to go out in the morning to see the flowers, they are adorable but they close by noon.
