I am up and looking at a grey sky and and cool temps. The house is cool so I guess I need to turn on the gas heater again. I burned it enough the other night to get the walls, etc. warmed up but they seem to have cooled off again. I don't want it to get too cool for the parakeets. We can put on more clothes but they can't.
Does anyone on this board grind corn for meal? Shad wanted to grind some last night so we did. All we have is some field corn and it did grind up pretty well. But we want to know if this is the right kind of corn to use for cooking purposes. He would like us to make cornbread from homemade cornmeal if possible.
I guess I need to get busy on the business of the day. At least the kitchen is cleaned up thanks to Shad. He cleaned off the cabinets, sprayed them with Clorox Cleanup and wiped them off. He made sure the sink was once again filled with stuff that needed to be washed or thrown away which I was in charge of getting done.
