This is the first photo I've seen of Nigella that looks like my Nigella. Which started as a handful of seeds my Mother in Law gave to me last year and said " I think these are called Nigella. Good luck!"

Well, I did have good luck or rather, Nigellamis a beautiful plant and almost effortless to plant and grow. It's a good idea to plant more seeds when your plant develop those ker-aaazy seed pods. That way, you can have Nigella all summer long.

I looked and looked for a pix of Nigella that showed the vivid blue that about 50% of my flowers are. That would this cultivar - Nigella neon . However there a few IVORY ( yes, ivory. Not white) blooms here and there and some of the light blue ones too. My seeds though are mostly the color, pictured above.

I have some seeds to,just give away. I've given so many seed to friends and neighbors that I've run out of,both .

I don't really get how you can just offer to give away seeds - the whole traders form thing looked so complicated and also imdon't have a pix right now that I can upload if I stay on my iPad. Switching to my laptop would work, but I'm not moving now :)

I guess reply here or however else you can and let me know,if you'd like some Nigella seeds, fresh off the plant.

So nobody wants free nigella seeds?
