Crossvine

Has anyone grown cross vine in containers? I need to cover a large trellised area; however, there is little soil beneath the trellis (ledges of limestone dominate the soil). If you have grown in a container, how large of one did you use?

Hazel, I haven't grown them in containers, but I think that the size that you indicated in your dmail should suffice for a while.

Thanks, Josephine. Can they be cut way back if and when I need to repot them?

I haven't done that either but I see why it wouldn't work, as long as you leave enough nodes for the new shoots to grow from.
