Yakmon, do you know what kind of bee that is on your lantana? I've seen some like that here. Nice photos.

Thanks for the comment. I believe they are carpenter bees. I have TONS of them around the garden. It is amazing that they can fly as fat as they are!

Yakmon, you must have a leak in your feeder.

I notice you don't have bee guards but I don't think it would matter in your case.

I have to put up with large black ants, yellow jackets and woodpeckers of the downey variety. The ants have to travel twenty feet on a cord only to drown in the nectar.

Russell, has thing changes any? Any butterflies yet?

Actually, I just had a couple of visitors this morning! I had 2 Pipevines visiting the Pride of Barbados this morning first thing! We are having some North wind from the remnants of the tropical storm that went in to Louisiana yesterday.

I will take it!

Wooohoooo! Who's has said that with any crisis there will be opportunity? What's a turn-around!!! Beautiful pic. Russell. Now Lee's (the tropical storm) effects is upon us. It's cloudy here, and drizzling rain has moved in. I've heard of forecast to be in the 70's for the next 3 days. I've seen lots of Sulphurs, some Spicebush, Tiger and Eastern Black Swallowtails. Then a few Gulf Frits, and they're leaving me with half a dozen of their offsprings. Things are indeed looking up.
