This found growing in the rainforest of Chiapas, Mx, too. The local indigenous consultant said it produced red flowers which his people eat. I will send a pic of the unopened spathe under a separate entry, because I don't know how to add more than one pic to an entry, yet. (Is it possible, even?)

Adding more photos is just the same as putting in your first one, you just do it in the reply box at the bottom. Click on the browse and select the photo you want to upload, then click on preview to see that it all looks okay, then Send.
