My 6 year old female siamese is highly allergic to 1) Chicken and 2) possibly pollen. We've relied on a certain brand of cat food, but now it appears they are raising their profit line by adding chicken to even their sea food formulas . She broke out so badly this week, she has had to see the vet for a shot. I've been searching online for another brand but there's chicken in almost everything. Cheap filler I guess.
Does anyone know if cats with chicken allergies are also allergic to duck? I've eliminated duck on the assumption that feathers are feathers... I'd be willing to cook lamb for her but I know she needs some of the things the manufacturers add, like Taurine, and it might not be a complete diet.
For the time being she's on venison and green peas blend, but I would appreciate any suggestions that would lead in new possibilities.
