new puppies thought to be weaned but appear not to be

Hi I normally just stick to the chicken forum but i need info on what to do for the puppies I took in that are almost 7 week old puppies yesterday that i was told was eating puppy chow just fine. They said they had been eating a lot of it fairly often. We haven't gotten them to eat anything but a bite or two since we brought them home last night. Only thing they tried to do was chase down our cat who just weaned her kittens & try to nurse on her. We have no money for milk replacer till tomorrow when my check hits the bank. What i need to know is if it is possible to use kitten milk replacer for puppies? What are the differences between the two? Can anyone help? The mom is already gone to a new home. I had couldn't' take her in bc she kills kittens & chickens.. which i have a lot of both. They were to be separated this weekend anyways.. i just begged for us to take the puppies instead of them going somewhere we didn't' know they would be taken care of.
