Thanks so much! It was a beautiful day. My husband surprised me with a new "macro" lens for my camera so that I can take better close-up photos of my flowers and bees! Now I just have to learn how to use it!

SC, that is lamb's ears, stachys byzantina. I have been experimenting with the flower stalks for the past few years and have found if I snip out most, leaving one about every 6" or so, the foliage fills out nicer. I do like the flowers but if I let them all grow, then the foliage is very wimpy looking. Kind of a balancing act.
