How much should I thin swiss chard?

Since chard seeds come in little packages that each produce several seedlings, should I be thinning them back to one, or are they meant to grow several plants jammed together?

Mine are about 10 inches apart. First year growing it.

I assume you got 3 or 4 seedlings per seed and then you thinned them back to 1?
