I was blessed today with a tour of Frostweed's native gardens. As we strolled along the paths I couldn't help but think of the ever well known Robert Frost poem 'The Road Not Taken'.
Thank you Frostweed (Josephine) for welcoming us into your wildscape wonderland.

Beautiful pictures, Catz! Thanks for sharing with us. Josephine, you and Frank have done a wonderful job with your yard. I'm so jealous! Wish I could've joined ya'll today.
Stepahnie, maybe you can come with Sybil, she wasn't able to make it today.

Oh my God Catz!!! that was so beautiful, I loved the poetry and the pictures, thank you so very much, you almost made me cry.
I hope you will take up native plant gardening sometime, it is very rewarding.
Thank you all again, I had a wonderful time.
Josephine.
What a glorious morning. Thank you so much , Catz, for posting this odyssey. Thank you, Josephine, for having us to your wonderful garden. Wish I had a video recorder of all the information you gave. I am still the dunce of the group. I have a red flower, a white flower, a blue flower....etc.etc.etc. Debnes kept "cursing". Our definition of her wonderful knowledge of the Latin terms. Too late for me. But I WILL GROW the plants with all my heart.
Beautiful poem and pics.I had no doubt your garden would be wonderful. You need to give lectures on how to do natives with class!
Thank you Anna, I wish you could have come. I do have one or two presentations but don't do it very often, my love is gardening and taking care of plants.
Josephine.
Really enjoyed the Frost application with your pictures Stephanie! The tour was delightful and the company, none better. Thanks to Jo for the sharing of plants she sent home with us too.
I will add some pictures I took of the plants....no latin because my sheet is down at the shop and I don't "cuss" LOL!
First this is the view from the corner, all of the grass has been removed from the front yard. And it has been planted with hundreds of native plants. Rock lined and mulched walkways, as you saw in Catz pictures, allow access to view them easily.
Well I got the first three letters but wasn't sure of the spelling. It is lovely open too!
I've been talking to my neighbor about getting a load of mulch and doing some trails in our yards. Sooo pretty. Thank you for the plants and seed, Josephine. And, Catz, thank you for the hyacinth bean. Mostly all planted now and the beans are soaking. Many noids that volunteer in my beds will now be left alone until I can identify what it is. Josephine is truly inspirational.
How could I possibly have left out Frank. We all know he is beyond being "just a helper". Does the work and quietly steps back. Thank you, Frank. Mike really enjoyed his visit with you.
BEAUTIFUL! I'm sorry I couldn't make it, but hopefully next time. Josephine, I would love to see your yard and pick your brain about proper depth of mulch and better weed/seedling control. Your yard is just lovely.
Carla
Thank you Christi and Carla, I hope to have you here in the fall when the asters are in bloom, they are so pretty!!! and the weather will be a lot cooler.
Josephine.
I have asters that are from you through Mitch. Just cut one of them back again as it had spread and covered everything in a 5 foot radius. By fall it will be bigger than ever.
I am so happy that you have them, Mitch is such a generous and sweet person, I wish he was still around here.
Oh, this was such a treat! Thank you catz and Sheila for sharing this and to Josephine and Frank for making such a beautiful garden! I would love to have been there in person but I thoroughly enjoyed my "virtual" visit. Stay cool everyone. Cant wait 'til fall. Marty
