The Whole Thing........

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I love seeing the single blooms from all of the different brug plants, but would also like to see what the WHOLE plant looks like in bloom. I'm putting this picture of mine on here just because it is one of my favorites. Can't wait to get some of the trades up and blooming next summer.
Thanks.....Shirley

Good question Owen... I was wondering too. I have versi peach ... I hope it'll look like that one someday!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

No, not the same. down here we call it Gator orange Versi....i guess ms brugie got it from someone who called it LSU.....

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Arlene,
Yes, it was called LSU (Louisianna State Univ.) by the person who gave it to me, but I sent a picture to Earl at Valley Grow and he said it was Versicolor Orange. How did this thread get back up here. Man, this was started a long time ago. I sure hope that plant grows the same way next year because I really liked the size and shape of it.

Shirley,
I had on of the LSU or ULS or what ever it is called but mine had a flower that looked like the Insignis Pink....it didn't bloom an awful lot so I got rid of it.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Gloria,

I'm just going to stick with Earls ID of Versicolor Orange. Suits me okay. Isn't that Pink Beauty something to look at. Hope you have really good luck with it. I'm still waiting to hear from BW.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Brugie, that brug { versicolor orange} is just beautiful. The shape is about perfect.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks Roz, I just hope it will perform the same way again next year. I used it as a deck pot since it didn't get so tall and I could handle the pot okay without breaking branches. If you had seen the little guy when I first got him from my friend, you would have thought there was no way he would turn out so nice. I sure didn't hold out much hope of it, but I was surprised so now I don't give up on any of them.

Cala,
If I sent you one called versicolor apricot, it isn't. It would be what we all named Shirley's Peach. I hope I sent you the Versicolor Orange because it is much prettier.

I looked today, you did send me the versicolor orange. I hope it blooms soon. It is about 18 inches tall and very healthy.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

The orange brug is absolutely beautiful and the blooms are such an elegant looking color. I hope that I will have something that I can trade you for a cutting. I am a new (just signed up today) and I have much to learn.

Hi Frannie,

I do my brug cuttings in the early fall. It is so cold here that nothing even starts growing until May. I'm sure there will be plenty of cutting material unless Mother Nature has a cramp.
