RAIN.......Glorious RAIN!

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

So how much rain did everyone get??

Here in SW Austin we got almost 3 inches of glorious, much needed wet stuff.
Rained for hours and hours last night. All the flowers and plants stood up and yelled, "YIPPEE". The grass was happy too...looks greener already.

You got more than we did! It looks like they're estimating about 1"-1.5" for us...but still. RAIN! I agree!!

Brazoria, TX(Zone 9b)

Rain just left us with 1.5 in. So happy, I went out and planted some peas in my garden.

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

Rowlett got 2.5" very very early on Tuesday morning and got another 1" last night around midnight. My plants, lawn, and I are happy campers.

Glad you got some down there. I know a lot of places REALLY needed it!

Doug

San Marcos, TX(Zone 8b)

I received almost 3 inches by the house in San Marcos and probably over 3 inches at the orchard in Staples.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Good to see you all getting some relief even if it is temporary.

Fulshear, TX(Zone 9b)

A little over 3 inches in Fulshear. Yea!!

Grapeland, TX

3 inches here. I am thankful. And we had 2 days of cloudiness and lower temps so that gave the plants a chance to recover a bit. Hubby and I added more mulch to my big corner bed that gets nearly all afternoon scorching sun as the temps go back up today and from looking at NWS it will be back to "normal" for this year for at least the next week. I have old sheets I started using the other day to throw over that bed in the hot of the afternoon to try and help some.

Beaumont, TX(Zone 9a)

Not nearly enough; got some Wed., hardly any yesterday:(
It's sunny this morning; no clouds, blue skies.

I got rain everyday since Tuesday... Was mowing my 5 acre yard today in between the rains today..Got tired of looking at tall grass..My gardens sure was happy to get a drink of good rain water this week!!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I know you are now complaining! You guys have needed a break in the drought for a while.

(Nadine) Devers, TX(Zone 9b)

I have been watering my yard every 2 days at nite time so I don't lose my plants and grass..Plus along keeping my chickens and peacocks cool down...I used a misting sprinkler around my house so the foundation does not crack all nite long...I have a water well and had 5 water hoses going with overhead sprinkler types. Been long time since I had to do that!! I am so use to rainy weather but this year cuts the cake!..LOL...

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Above I meant to say not complaining...lol.

You have been going above and beyond. I am sure you were glad to see the rain. Hope you get to see more in the coming days.
