Lose weight on a combo diet

Well, I'm pretty overweight. And I have tried many diets. I suppose the best one was Weight Watchers, partly because of the group support. But everything I tried worked for 20 or 30 pounds and then plateaued on me and I gave up. After my husband had 2 heart attacks, he started to count fat grams and that is a good idea too. Then there's Metabalife and Slim-fast.
So here's what I'm doing and it is working wonderfully. This diet lasts 4 weeks and then recycles.
Week one you drink all liquids. You can use Metabalife with this if you want. The liquids should be varied, lots of juices including V-8, skim milk, Slim-fast and lots of water. You can have soft drinks if they are diet drinks and unsweetened tea and coffee (use an artificial sweetener if you want).
Week two you add solid fruits
Week three you add solid vegetables
Week four you add the meats (no more than 4 oz once a day) and some bread. You can substitute the meat with dried beans or cheese.
Week five, you start all over again with all liquids.
I take quite a few vitamins too and try to exercise for a total of 1/2 hour a day. Any exercise that you like will do, the point is to do it fast enough to breathe a little harder and sweat a little but remember, don't exercise so hard that you can't talk at the same time.
That's it. Even during the week of the all liquids, you get your protein from the milk and the Slim-Fast. I will give you a report in a week and let how I did the first full week. By the way, my doctor said this was o.k. since I don't have any serious physical problems or ailments. I do have some diveticulosis and he said this would just help it.
