My girls are legal!!!!!!!!!

Tonight the city council just voted 7-3 to make chickens, ducks, and goats legal in Denver. My girls are no longer "undocumented", they can come in from the cold, lol. They've never hidden their light under a bushel, but now I don't have to worry if a city inspector comes by. I was getting ready to start collecting signatures if the city council let us down, but now wow!! I can hardly wait to tell the girls when they get up tomorrow morning. I probably should bake them a cake, or maybe just some oatmeal.

This is great news! Sorry about doing that picture wrong. It was taken when we were planting and mulching. The girls decided it would be fun to jump up in the wheelbarrow. They love it when we're gardening. They feel like they have to join in and be part of it. In deference to my DH I'm going to try hard not to bring home a goat, but it's probably either that or another Great Dane.

Now that's great news! Has anything been publicized yet? I have relatives in Denver, and think they should certainly have chickens, with my help...

It was all over the TV news last night, and there's a big article in the paper this morning. It is now a one time only $20.00 license fee. I will proudly pay that! I told my DH if we get a goat, it will have to sleep on his side of the bed. The new law allows 8 chickens or ducks, and 2 goats.
