I'm not sure where the search feature is for this question. I'm researching the question and come up with very little actual experiential information, or authoritative for that matter.
I've given a Charles Grimaldi to a dear friend in Sebastapol and we're trying to decide if the endemic gophers will eat its roots etc or not, given that it's poisonous. It will affect planting strategies.
Thanks,
Karen
Do gophers eat brugs?
Gophers have taken down a cherry tree and fig tree this year, but so far, the Brugmansias have been un-touched. I have wondered as well if the roots would poison them.
gophers are the reason mine are all in pots, i didnt know they wouldnt eat them, darn things get everything else here. that is good to know.
Thanks for the input. You'd think there was some ultimate research-based authority which can say whether gophers eat brugmansias. I couldn't find one. Just opinions.
Sorry about your losses, Mike. I'm dealing with a spider mite infestation which is breaking my heart.
