Screen problem

Good morning all,
I turned on the puter this morning and my desktop and all screens are too wide. The left and right sides are off the moniter, I can't see my close button or any left side info. Even here on DG, all the names on the forums are over half missing.

I went to my display settings and clicked on effects then clicked on default...but nothing happened. Please help, I am still new at these small problems.
