I have tons of flowers that butterflies love. But, what I find surprising is that a lot of butterflies choose my poppy's seedpods (where the petals have already fallen off). Is this common? are they able to get any nectar out of the seedpod?

Maybe it is a small insect they are getting; or just the tallest resting place to sun themselves.
