Little duck is growing fast

Conroe, TX

At 3 weeks old, look how big this duck is. Ducks grow so fast. My son was holding him in the other thread when he was little bitty and this is him holding him now.

They do grow fast. He is turning into quite a handsome fellow.

looks like a Blue Swedish to me

Baby duck is a mixed breed since we have Rouen females and Crested Buff females but our two males are both mixed. One male that is a rescue duck we think is part Indian Runner and the other male is part Blue Swedish, we don't think he is full breed. This picture shows him on the edge of the water, we think he is the father, not sure which breed is the mother though..

Looks like a mix of cayuga, ruddy, and swedish.
The bluish beak is what makes me think it is a ruddy.
The green/black on the head looks cayuga.
The white/black combo on the body looks swedish.

We got him from my brother as an egg and hatched him. He had large black ducks, probably the Swedish and he had white ducks. Or, maybe he had Cayugas not Swedish, not sure but the black ducks were very large and then smaller white ducks. He had a male and female of each breed, but they were together so we are pretty sure this one was mixed. Maybe it's Cayuga with the white duck that makes it look Swedish? He does have a green and sometimes a bluish hue to him. Very pretty.

The picture is him as a baby with his "mama".
