Gosh, I wanted to sleep in this morning.. nope... mooo. mooo. MOOOOO.. someone wanted breakfast. I let my big and little heifers out in a bigger lot this morning. My big old gentle heifer, the one who wanted me outta that bed this morning saw that open gate and skedaddled outta there. She is also the one that I have spent a lot of time chasing around the country. I thought my new little bottle calf seemed a little calmer until my hubby walked up to the corral. I thought she was going to try to break through the metal gate. I am the one that cares for the livestock and she wasn't used to him.. Gosh I hope she gentles down before she gets too much bigger. I forget which one of you guys suggested that I put her bottle in a holder and pet her while she drinks. I think I'll give that a whirl this evening.
