Typically, organic fertilizers are expensive down here. The feed stores in town that carry blood meal etc. have priced it as niche products. Does anyone have recommendations for online stores for organic fertilizers at a reasonable price and shipping costs?
Thank you for your time.
Recommendations for online stores for Organic Fertilizers
Gardeners' Supply is a good company and they sell some fertilizers (I'm not sure if everything they sell is organic so make sure you check) http://www.gardeners.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-Gardeners-Site/default/Link-Keywordsearch?DefaultButton=findSimple&ViewAll=1&q=fertilizer&x=0&y=0 The problem with mail order is that many fertilizer containers tend to be sort of heavy so you may find that by the time you pay shipping it would have been just as cheap to buy locally.

That is the dilemma I am facing. I was hoping some have a lump sum shipping fee and I can buy in bulk and save.
Thanks for the link.
I've purchased organic fertilizers from here:

http://www.wormsway.com/
http://www.territorialseed.com/
All with no problems and great success using their fertilizers in the garden.
Thank you Honeybee.
By the way, Wormsway is much more expensive than the brick and mortrar stores that sell comparable items here. I was surprised to say the least.

MajiA - I agree with you, Wormsway is more expensive, but sometimes I can't find what I need locally.
take a look at Peaceful Valley Farm & Garden Supply.
It's a California company that's been around since the mid-1970's, their prices are reasonable and their products are really high quality in my experience.

They have a lot of liquid concentrate fertilizers, so you can keep shipping costs down that way.
Also things like kelp in powdered form, also cheap for shipping.
I've bought pellet type fertilizers a few times too, and the shipping still wasn't too bad. They seem to really try to keep those costs down.
This is also a good source for beneficial nematodes, and beneficial insects etc.
I'm late to this thread... but we have an (almost) local guy (Ron Jeffries) who supplies amendments to all the local organic growers in my area. His business grew from buying his own amendments for his CSA to first supplying just locally, and now delivering into NC/SC. He also ships. I trust this man!

Tell him I sent you!
Thank you darius for the url. Seems to be a very reasonably priced place.
I made a note of the link, darius. He has lots of items that I would like.
I find his ethics suit me... he's not just selling stuff for the profit but because he believes as we do, that avoiding toxins is important. Some of his prices are the best I have seen. The Surround™ that I got to spray on my fruit trees is way under the going rate, nearly by half but I forget exactly.
