It was an amazing moment until he added, "They should for what they cost me".

Then he says you know Father's Day is coming.

Then he said do you want to go get the new grill

Should have realized the rose compliment was going to cost.

Aw - the "for what they cost me" just meant that he didn't want anyone to think that he was "sensitive". Just ignore that last part.
