I know the picture quality isn't the best, but I'm hoping someone will know.
It's a bit smaller than a cardinal, and has a shrieking caw rather than a tweet- calls are one long blast, every few seconds.
I'm also fairly certain this is a juvenile.
Found in S.E. Michigan, in a northern suburb of Detroit. It's possible it did not originate from here though. Looks like a wild bird, but was acting domesticated. Wanted to perch on our shoulders and would not leave us alone.
CLOSED: what kind of bird is this?
Common Starling, juvenile
Resin
Thanks, Resin! I googled more pics, that's definitely it!
You have seriously impressive birding skills! ;)
