I'd only planed on a few birds for my flock this summer. I ordered a dozen straight run chicks to replace about half of my layers this fall. Then a batch of wild ducklings (12) came in for rehab. Add a half dozen baby blackbirds. Oh look! Someone gust gave me 8 domestic goslings that they got by mistake. Lets throw in five more baby mallards, how about another half dozen blackbirds....sure , no problem. Oops, here come the turkeys I ordered, What? The order got doubled with a free one thrown in? (15). Ok. Oh crap. I just rescued 17 finches (half on nests) from a nursing home. Oh boy. I just found a box of baby robins left on the porch. Well, maybe this is it. Wait. I have two domestic ducks on nests and a peahen with 5 eggs in the garden. Is Alfred Hitchcock hiding around the corner?

Wow! Good luck with all your avian rescues!
OMG that is too funny.. I mean, not funny, but funny! Wow, no wonder you are not posting that much.. I see you have ummm your hands full?? Wow!
wow you sure have your hands full. Hope all goes well for the rescues
Wow, were they ever lucky to end up with you! Sounds like a fun and interesting bunch.
We just added a red fox kit to the mix,(along with porcupines, squirrels and turtles), it could reduce the bird population if she gets loose.
Oh heck, what's a few more animals LOL. I'm sure you don't have time for pictures, but just in case, I'd love to see what a baby fox looks like. Bless your heart for taking in and caring for these animals!
Whewwwww! That made me tired just reading it! A mothers work is never done!! Sounds as if a lot of people know that you are a really good one!
I wish I was close enough to help out
I envy you the porcupine. I just think they are the neatest little critters. There are supposed to be a few in West Virginia, but nothing closer to me than that. I wish you great success with all the critters, I know how much work the mammals are...
Bless you for saving everybody, literally!
