Hey RattlesnakeFrank. I have a question for you, I have some goji berries, the leaves are turning yellow. wondering, what's going on with them. do you grow goji berries? my plants are on their second year. both the berry bushes and the pollenator plant has yellowing leaves. forgive my intrusion here. Just saw this post and thought you might know what to do about it. their in full sun, do they need acidic soil? I just put some miracle grow on them and our weather has been crazy. rain for a solid month and now l00 degree weather and it dried up around here in less than a week, now we have to water the ground. I'm sure that didn't do them any good, cause they were beautiful when we had all that water.

Naches, WA(Zone 5a)

Dear Kathy; gojis need very good drainage. with all the rain that was likely it. gojis do well with a ph as high as 8.4 . mine are at 7 and produce nicely. they seem to respond well to nitrogen so i'm tossing fish emulsion on them one day and lime the next. throw my old oyster shells there too. my first year i lost a lot of seedlings to drainage but the well drained plants thrived. maybe they got just a little bit too much water. you might want to check ph. hope i helped . thanks, frank

Hi Frank,

I have a small Caryopteris Sunshine Blue and Russian sage to trade for the Gogi and Stevia. If you are interested in cuttings, I could send you 6 or 7 from Sand Cherry, SmokeBush, 2 kinds of Weigela, Lilac Josee, Helmonds Pilar, Mock Orange, Limelight Hydrangea, Crape Myrtles, Orange Honeysuckle, various ground covers and rose bushes, various Rose of Sharon, Wisteria and several more. These would only be cuttings because I have not started to propagate them yet. I did buy myself a dozen "rooter pots" which I will try to get going soon.

Please let me know.

Regards,

Teri

Dear Teri; i shy away from unrooted cuttings at a long distance. the sage and the caryopteris [Whatever that is] sound good. if you have something medicinal it would be better but i'll trade for those. thanks, frank p.s. root some of the othersn so we can trade again.

Dexter, ME

frank I will send 2 of each of my wild ginger plant and the penny royal let me know and when you would like to complete the trade sorry I have not been on I have had some personal problems

Mount Bethel, PA(Zone 6a)

Frank, I will be sending the Caryopteris Sunshine Blue and the Russian Sage when the unusually hot weather passes. I will be using my "rooter pots" to get some roots on all of my other bushes to trade. I suppose you have your "haves" listed in the trade forum. I will look there to see what we can trade when I get some roots going

Hi Frank,

Sent some stuff yesterday. Don't know if it will make it in this weather. If not, I will try again another time. Please let me know the condition when they get there.

Thanks

Teri

Frank, I was just wondering if the plants I sent could have possibly arrived in decent condition in this heat.

Mount Bethel, PA(Zone 6a)

Frank, did they arrive in such awful shape that you don't even want to talk about it??
