ANYONE HAVE VEGETABLE SEEDS TO TRADE?
We have some vegies in the "Free Seeds for New Bees" stash.
For trading, I woud pass on the hibiscus and Shasta Daisies, otherwise, sure! Especially things hardy in Zone 6 or cooler.
... I see you've been in DG less than 8 months, so you have at least 10 pkts of seeds coming to you from "New Bee Seeds" (for the cost of postage and the mailer). We do ask SASBubbleMailer, or $3 by PayPal.
I can throw in extras for the seniors.
It would also be great if you would send us any unwanted packets or partial packets, and I'll pass them along to other newbies. (I collect most of my own seed variety during year-end sales.)
I see your address in the address exchange. If you want to send any seeds back to New Bee Seeds, you can send them to me.
Here are the only vegies I'm sure right now we have a bunch of. I'm sure I can send 5+ small baggies of each. I'll certainly fill the mailer up to 3 ounces at least!
White half runner bean
Lima Bean Bush O.P. 'Burpee's Bush' Phaseolus lunatus
bush bean blue lake
English Pea O.P. "Thomas Laxton" Pisum sativum
I'll look for anything we have multiples of besides those four.
Corey
P.S.
Anyone else who wants to donate seeds to "Free Seeds for New Bees", or people fairly new to DG who want some seeds-for-postage, check out

would be happy to send them on to you. thank you.
Risingcreek: Are there any specific veggies you are looking for? I can help with some seeds for napa-type cabbage, carrots, melons, radishes, peas. I don't have huge quantities of any one variety, but would be happy to share what I can.
I would be interested in gazania or zinnia seeds in trade, but I'm willing to send these even without a trade. I think this sounds like a great project for your seniors, and would be happy to help!!!

I'd love to help. I have a lot of seeds available. Peppers, tomatoes, carrot, etc. Nothing needed in trade, the seeds will go to waste otherwise probably. If you'd dmail me your address, I will get them in the mail ASAP.
Jeff
Jeff,
I see that you are relatively new to DG, but clearly not new to gardening.
Over in the Seed trading forum, there is a thread "Free Seeds for New Bees". If you want a variety of seeds for postage, let us know.
Corey
P.S. Anyone who wants to trade left-over seeds for a variety of things, "New Bee Seeds" has a big stash, and we can trade to get more variety. And bags of saved seeds are always welcome!
I hope to post some lists of what's on hand and what's needed in the New Bee Stash, in the Seed Trading forum ... one of these days!
Corey
I have 1 pound to a pound and a half of seed potatoes left over. I would be glad to trade them for shasta daisy and gaillardia. The majority of the potatoes are bintje and there's some purple majesty. Would this interest you? The potatoes have been green sprouted so they'll take off once in the ground.
>> shasta daisy and gaillardia
The New Bee stash does have both of those, but I don;t think I could store seed potatoes. Do you have any longer-lived seeds to trade?
Corey
No, I'm sorry that I don't.
I have some Galliarda in my own stash, from deejay9,
Burgundy Blanket Flower
Gaillardia x grandiflora
Want to risk me sending some in a 44- cent envelope? (Sometimes they get crushed despite "please hand cancel" or a "non-machinable surcharge".)
I didn't see your address in the Address exchange, but you could Dmail it to me..
Corey
would like to thank the person that sent the bubble envelope with seeds but it had no return address and no name inside the envelope- so --thank you so very much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
