Hi I'm brand new to this just got my worms Thursday, I live in Tampa FL and I have my worms outside behind my shed under a side cover which is under a large grandfather oak. I have found that now the worms are there the whole area under the cover is inundated with masquitos. Is there anything I can do to get rid of them without hurting the worms.
Masquitos around bin
Might try planting some sage in the area.
Morgan, why sage? If it is a mosquito repellent, I will plant it all over my yard, lol!!
I'll give anything a try at this point if sage will help then I'm in.
I thought basil was a mosquito repellent until I was watching a survival show where the instructor was making smoke from wild sage plants and rubbing the leaves on his skin to rebel hordes of mosquitoes. We have little kamikaze types which are not the least bit bothered by the wind. I put out some basil plants on the deck last year and it seemed to help. No positives on that one but the potted basil is back again for another try.
