Recipes from Arlington RU

Cleburne, TX(Zone 8a)

Wasn't there going to be a thread started for recipes from the Arlington RU? My DH wants very badly to have the butternut squash recipe that I believe Marty's friend brought from Houston.

You can only have it if I get the recipe for the watermelon salad/salsa!!!! No, seriously, I will post it this week.

Oh Glenna, I'm sorry, I misunderstood. I'll start that now. I will make the book to pass out as well.

It was probably me that misunderstood. I thought each member was going to post their recipe in a Texas Gardening thread.

Catz brought up the subject of printing them, but others were talking about posting them online.

Personally (just me talking) if i were to use it, it wouldn't be from online thread. I think we could dmail them to Catz for a collection and make a small printing. I would pay my portion of cost to get a copy. Not to say you can't swap ahead of time. It is just hard to quickly locate a thread later down the road....just saying.

Well, I posted my recipe for Italian sausage casserole and it is not there, I wonder what happened?
I guess I will send it to Catz next time, shoot I really don't want to do it again.

Josephine, there are now two recipe threads going, and your recipe is on the other one. It looks easy and sounds good, just my kind of recipe! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=8581862

Thank you Pat, I am glad I didn't go ahead and write it again!!!

I was trying to find a recipe I posted from last year's fall RU. Can't find it :( Yes, sometimes the old fashioned paper works well.

Anna, is this the post you're looking for: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=7139476

That was another of DH's favorites.

Hey, steadycam3, I brought the watermelon salad, and I'll be glad to share. I'll have to find it. Do I post it here for you, or on a particular recipe link?

Make sure you dmail it to catzgalore to be included in the printing of the group.

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

Just post it here so anyone else who loved it can try it too and of course send it to catz for inclusion in the book. Thanks so much. It was soooo good. Cam

Yes, please post the recipes here. That way, Catz can copy/paste from here just as easy as Dmail for the booklet and those of us who are anxious to get a recipe can have them now (like my DH can't wait for that butternut squash). I use a cheap software called MasterCook for automatically collecting recipes on line and printing recipe cards. I never look at the scads of cookbooks I have. Last count, I have over 2,000 recipes stored by category in MasterCook. DH just wishes I'd use them all !! LOL.
