I have a small fenced back yard and ever since I moved in I ve wanted to put up a privacy fence and make the back yard bigger for my 2 girls ( my dogs) and to provide a bit more privacy and safety for myself.. I recently acquired 4 panels I can use to get my start on the long line between my neighbors house and mine. Yesterday, before the storm hit, my buddy Danny came over and dug the posts with his tractor auger and helped me set them to get what I have up and in place.. Now Im on real good terms with my neighbors(at least I THOUGHT I was) and she came out to watch what was going on. While I was working she told me she didnt like the idea of a fence and wasnt happy about it.
She said SHE felt like I was shutting her out.. I explained to her I had this planned from day one of moving in and it wasnt anything personal it was just how I wanted to do MY yard.
I made sure I left enough room for all of us to get to the" back forty" as I call it where we have our fire wood stacked and other trailers and stuff stored. Now.the back forty is my property and has several of their trailers and stuff on it . its not something I maintain on a regular basis and I didnt have any problem letting them use it since I had some things back there already
have any of you ever have a neighbor tell you they didnt want you to do something to your yard/ landscaping and if so how did you handle it??
its not like I dont take care of my place..everyone tells me how nice it looks and I just found out its called the gingerbread house when people use it for directions
Im just sorta upset by her comments and wasnt sure how to respond..
