Excited when I noticed the munched leaves of a mw.....until

Upon closer inspection I found these...anyone have a clue? Almost look like a ladybug larva, but don't think they eat milkweed. Check out the unique munch pattern at the veins of the leaves.

I would call them "Colorado Potato Beetles". Whatever you do, don't let them fly north!

Well after your note...I checked and went a bit further on leaf beetles and found this one.
http://bugguide.net/node/view/2970 Since I found it on MW, may be this one. I am keeping them contained and will look for more. Plan to extingish them as soon as I know definately which it is. My milkweed is only for the monarchs thank you!

Just read on that page that the Colorado Potato beetle have two rows of spots.
