Just had to bring this one back up-I remember seeing Arlene post that she has this one up to flowering size already and for those that don't know just how fast Arlene grows them...ck out this link.

Hoping to talk Arlene into posting some pictures of her Culebra in bloom for the rest of us Brugcrazy's.

Arlene,

Please do post a picture or two. That is an amazing plant with such an unusual flower compared to most other brugs. Can't wait to get one of them, but of course, my wish list just keeps on growing. Will start weeding out some of mine next summer. I'm not sure I'll keep Frosty Pink. It just doesn't do much for me. Will probably dump, or as you guys say, shovel prune or whatever, the Shirley's Peach, Sunray, and Valley White.

This is such a nice shaped plant, two stalks. i cut a baby third stalk off last week to try to root. the largest bud fell off, no idea why, but there are several buds on each stalk still, maybe if the weather stays kind of stable. large plants and time released fertilizer with minors works great. Brugman, have a couple more of your hybrids getting ready to bloom, going to be versicolors. have a doc off all next week, should have some time to get my brain screwed back and get some pics taken and loaded. missed the flowers of your one hybrid, versi type white, turned to off white...i am thinking it must be very similar to the one that turns barely ginger, what ever that is, its very pretty.

Arlene all I can say is that you are doing wonderful with your Culebra's compared to many. Super green should be your nickname. I have a few more Culebra's I started for myself as I want to get as many seedpods started on my Culebra's as possible next year. Going to stick just one type of pollen to each Culebra trying to keep everything in order.
