Male and Female WBNHs? Please help me differentiate ...

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

One is slightly larger than the other. As shown here, also one's coloring seems a little lighter than the other, or is that due to lighting? Please help me differentiate between the male and female. Many thanks.

The one with the solidly black crown (right) is probably male, the other probably female, but can't be certain.

Thanks Resin, I once had as many as 4 Nuthatches gathered here to check out the nest box. Hopefully I'll get to see a second brood in the garden soon.

I agree with Resin the sharper black head tail and wing edge looks like a male on the right. The other looks female.

Many thanks. FFWK, we're almost neighbors!
