Hi Anita,

I have some pond plants I can send you for postage. I have lots of parrots feather, which overwinters here in zone 7 but I don't know about zone 5. Even though my ponds froze solid, the feather popped right up this spring. I also have lizard's tail and pickerel rush which are also hardy here in zone 7. I'd be happy to share with you for postage. Just dmail me your addy and I'll try to get you a box together this weekend to ship out on Mon. After I ship, I can let you know how much postage is. A medium flat rate box is around $10 or $11 I think. But the pond plants might be lighter so it might not cost that much in a regular priority box.

Check my trade post and see if there's anything I else I have that you need. If I have it in abundance, I'll be happy to share with ya.

Thank you so very much NancyAnn & yes I second Kayjoys post;) Will D-mail addy, for some reason I did not get an e-mail about your post, so please let me know via dmail,Cost & can I do Paypal? You don't happen to have a few Water Hyacinth do you? will check your list before I send info. Thanks again very much. :)Anita

Thank you, Kay and Anita. You're both very generous yourselves, and I'm always happy to share with you both.

No, I don't have any water hyacinths. They don't survive our winters and I got tired of replacing them. I might have a water lily or two that I can divide though. Do you have a big pond or a little pond? I have different size water lilies for different size ponds.

I might also have some other plants. I'll have to see what I can divide. I do have some blue louisiana irises and maybe some black gamecock irises that would do well in or around your pond. Want some?

Lee's Summit, MO(Zone 6a)

Anita, I don't have a pond, but if you will do a DG search for water Hyacinths, most Floridia members can find them in waterways - they are a pest plant down here.

Corning, NY(Zone 5a)

NancyAnn,
I have a big pond with nothing in it but the yellow iris, so I would be happy to have any pond plants, I THINK it is 2500 gals, not sure but I recall around that size when it was put in, I just got it fixed & back up & running.

Thank you Kay, I will have to see if I can find one willing to send me a few, I only need a few as I know how fast they grow, but I just love them so much, Why look I found one;) your in FL!!! don't they grow around you? I recall when I was in FL every water way was just filled to the rim with them, I'm only looking for a few, Let me know if you would consider sending some & my pond plant hunt would be done & I could close this thread;)

All right, Anita, I'll see what I can dig out of my ponds. They're all so full. The pickerel rush will bloom too.

My dog keeps pulling my water lilies out of the pond. Maybe he's trying to tell me something...like...send this one to Anita! LOL

I love that PIC!!! Looks like he's after a fish? I lost all of them too, that I have had for years, but I think this year I'm just going to go with pet store gold fish, as dealing with what I have been I don't think I want to lose anymore koi that some of them I have had for 10 years:( Do you have a master list of the Daylilies you have? I'm NOT looking for any, not right now, I was just thinking about the about 150 I just dug that maybe some of them you don't have?
3 years of neglect in the gardens & I just emptied out 1 bed to redo & I'm sure I have some dug you don't have, I offered lost tags as I don't have the time to be searching for this or that, as they are not mapped out, I just have a general idea of location & it never fails the ones people want either the moles got & will need TLC to come back or I only have 1-2 fans of, when the sun comes up I will go jot down some names of the ones dug & see if you need them.

Still Looking For Water Hyacinth~~~~:)Anita

Anita, you have to be able to climb down the muddy banks to the waterways, which I can't do.

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

Hi Anita, thanks for the offer! I'd love some Mokan Butterfly. I lost mine over this past wet winter and spring.

By the way, water lettuce is pretty too if you can find someone who has some. It looks like little velvety lettuces.

Corning, NY(Zone 5a)

Thank you VERY much NancyAnn;)

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Anita, if you still need plants, I think I might have some water lettuce. I know I have water lilies. I can't even remember the names of the stuff that's out there.

Corning, NY(Zone 5a)

Yes, I would love to have some watter lettuce, PLMK what you have & what you want, Thanks so much..;)Anita
P.S Mokan Butterfly & Moonstruck Madness are gone.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Wow, that's a lot of daylilies you've got there! What would you suggest for zone 8a (I think)? I like evergreens and for colors I like dark purples and pinks and bright yellows. I have Mary Todd that does really well, but I would like something that would bloom when MT is done.

Corning, NY(Zone 5a)

Old Glory Flies is a Semi-Evergreen- Description-
HUGE red,black-red veins,chartreuse thr,blue sheen-Bloom 6" Height-32"

Dark Star is a Evergreen Spider-Dark Red-Very Large & Tall

Grape Eye's-Semievergreen-Purple- Short & Small Flowers

Doge Of Venice-Evergreen-Purple-Tall & Large Flowers

As for the time of bloom, your right, it's a lot, to much to keep tabs on, so I have no clue what blooms when, working on better records, but don't have them yet:(

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

You can look up the daylilies in the database at www.tinkersgardens.com, silverfluter. The database will tell you the bloomtime of each cultivar, and you can see pictures too. If you're not familiar with the abbreviations, this is what they mean:

EE - Extra Early
E - Early
EM - Early to Mid Season
M - Mid Season
ML - Mid to Late Season
L - Late

Hope this helps.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Anita, let me see how many things I can pull out of the pond. It's very crowded with lots of lilies. Do you want La iris too? If I can find enough that you want I'd like some Grape eyes and Doge of Venice.

Corning, NY(Zone 5a)

NancyAnn sent me a few LA iris-NOID & Black Gamecock & I have the yellow, not sure what it is, but would be happy with anything;)Anita

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I hope it's OK to send these Monday. Will you get them in time? And what is the fastest way to ship - PO, UPS or Fedex?

Corning, NY(Zone 5a)

PO Priority is fine, That's how I ship everything with D/C, Never can tell when 1 might say they never got it & want you to send again, has happened in the past, That's why I use the D/C now;)
You are not in the addy exchange-Please D-mail me your info please, Monday will be fine between NancyAnn & eBay, pond don't look to bad, so even if I don't get them in time they will still be a great addition when I do, NY weather is on a 40 day rain streak, so I will try to get yours out Monday-Tuesday, but they are calling for I think the next 10 more days of rain:( I'm so over it I could puke, I have lost a TON of bulbs that have rotted:(Have many beds floating right now, but I do know the Daylilies you want are here & safe;)Thanks so much for the trade;)Anita

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I can't believe all the rain ya'll are getting and we're sitting over here all parched. This will be a year for the history books for sure. I have a hunch we are in for a tough hurricane season too.:(
