When this bird showed up it joined the male Nashville Warbler, and it's habits and feeding manner are the same, foraging the same small area for some time, and not flitting about so much as other warblers. The long tail reminded me of the Bushtit, but it lacks the sweet baby face. Please help ID.
CLOSED: Warbler, or ??
Wrentit? If so, the dark eye is odd, though. Any more pics of it, with the head more side-on?

Bird lacked the breast stripes of the Wrentit, and it was foraging high, not near the ground. I'll check the other photos for one like you request.
Thanks! It's a Bushtit, perhaps with a slightly deformed bill - that could explain why it looks less "baby-faced".

Thanks. I've never before seen one without the company of others, and not flitting from tree to tree. He must have drawn some security from the Nashville.
Thanks again!
