This is red form I have grown from cuttings -- may be `Inca Queen`
red sanguinea
horticult7!! Where have you been? .... We've been waiting for these pictures!!
Wow! That is beautiful.
WOW!! Love it ~~
My DH wants one of those so bad,I have my little one ,but he's impatient for a bloom(aren't we all)If he see's that he'll be saying "see ,other people can get them to bloom, how come you can't???"It gorgeous!!!
Beautiful.. I want to add it to my want list!
Can I have a cutting or seeds?
Lee
Lee,
have you gotten the seeds I sent you yet..haven't seen yours either.
Wow, that is stunning, will you be offering cuttings for trade? If you do, please put me on your list.
thanks
Oh my god,my DH saw it and said exactly what I said he would ,sad that I know him that well.
Very Beautiful. Wish I knew the sanguinea types better. Although I thought the Incan princess was a dwarf yellow form? Any one help with the id here? Its definately a beautiful sanguinea at any rate and I would love to see it crossed to Roter Vulkan vulcanicola if you ever get the time or perhaps Feurwerk Sanguinea....if memory serves me. Thanks for all the wonderful pictures. I am envious to the extreme-you are hybridizing aren't you? Wishing I had a field of seed to plant from the sanguinea types in the hopes of getting just one heat/virus tolerant one that would make it here in florida. Perhaps crossing one to an arborea enough times and crossing the siblings together might make a nice red arborea that could live here in florida though.
that's in my plans to do here. You never know who's going to get lucky!!
Tig, I honestly think you have a good chance at it. I wish you the best of luck. To be honest, If I had some arborea and some sanguinea pollen I would think I would have a descent go of it, but I think it may take more than just a few crosses.
Brugmansia - I have about 30 Q-tips in the freezer loaded with sanguinea pollen. Followed your storage instructions. Had planned to send you some. Also following your shipping instructions. Right now can't see sending pollen to Florida. One of us would be going to jail. Let me know when the time is right.
Inca Queen would be my guess. Outstanding!
I'm across the GG too and would love to get a cutting. I actually saw one like this on ebay. I will try to find it and let you know.
Liz, `Inca Queen` was the name when I got it from a friend. I may have another and slightly different red cultivar, but unless they bloom simulataneously, it is hard to say.
Do you think Inca Queen can be crossed with vulcanicola -- imagine the possible colors!
Wow we posted at the same time. I just looked on ebay and it musta been somewhere else but I know I saw it today. Ill try to remember.
