Soth Texas Round up Ideas

Victoria, TX(Zone 9a)

Hello everyone,
Yes I am a bit new here... But I love gardening and so glad I found this site. I have a question about round-ups. I get the basic idea and they sound awesome.
My question is would anyone in the Central South Texas coastal area be willing to put one together for about this time next year? I would love to help and be involved. I found out about the plant swap in Galveston, I would love to attend but found out about it a bit too late. I used to live there and it would be nice to visit the old home front.
Anyway, I live in Victoria I was thinking this would be a great location since it's not too far from most of the major coastal big cities, about equal driving distance for all.... Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and Corpus Christi etc.
It's just an idea I am tossing around and any help would be appreciated. We have a nice park setting here in the old Riverside park that would be a nice place.
Thanks in advance for any advice and any interested in helping make this happen
Look forward to meeting you Texas Gardeners. :)
Marsha.

You can start another before it gets too many responses, and then ask admin to close this one to posting.
Or...you can just know that we have all made mistakes from time to time and everyone knows what you meant...LOL!

Run with it!
Years from now, people will ask why it is called the Soth Texas Roundup!

Marsha.. Being serious now, contact the subscribers in your area by dmail and send them the link to the inquiry about a RU. You can do that by looking on the home page under the "extras" tab. Click on Other DG subscribers in my area, then enter your zip code. It will give their id name and city. You can do a "blast" email to a lot of people, but I can't remember how ...I am sure there is instructions. Good luck with your quest.

I live just outside of Corpus Christi, and I would be interested in participating. i was wondering if there would be anything happening in the southern part of the state. Keep me on the list!

LOL.......Thanks everyone. I think I will just leave my thread the way it is for now. It seems to make people wonder what in the HECK is SOTH RU, then they read it. (BIG GRIN)
Yakmon... feel free to D-Mail me at anytime and maybe by putting our heads together and recruiting we can come up with something awesome. Thanks so much for your interest, I really appreciate it. I was thinking on having one about this time next year, when everyone is plant crazy and it's peak season for us before the temps. get too hot. Plus that gives us time to plan.
Happy Gardening...
Marsha

One in your area in the fall would always be a possibility too. We have one up here in fall, but it isn't as big as the spring one.
