Cat with Nervous Stomach...solutions?

Houston, United States(Zone 9b)

Got her as a shelter kitten about 6 years ago. Right off we noticed her acting sickly with the transition. She was scared of all humans poor thing. And she'd hide and throw up in the first few weeks we'd have her. Asked a vet right off about this and he said she just experiences stress like this - to try and make her comfortable and to note that with any upset in her life she might have these issues.

Fast forward 6 years. She is as sweet as pie, a loving housecat, adapted very well to our addition of 2 kids and a large dog (we already had another cat as well). She does hide when anyone but one of us is in the home :) but her nervous stomach - where before we could see she'd throw up when something had changed - annual visit to vets she'd have some incidents of puking at home following, an overnight guest in the home, again, the nervous condition.

Not even sure what to call this. My cat pukes. And now she has been puking A LOT more regularly.

Her diet is the same as it has always been. Rarely do we switch brands/styles. And I value my pets enough not to feed them the cheap stuff. I may switch to one of the most pricey brands I can find - perhaps there is even like they have indoor/outdoor cat formula's, maybe they have aging cat/sensitive cat food?????

But it's hard, because she's still so young yet and about 4 years ago we moved. She adjusted quite well but in the last 4 years the puking has become more regular, not associated with any major stress I can figure. Used to be you could expect it about once a month. In the last month she has literally puked every week. And this week it was 3 times.

It's okay when we can find it and clean it up but next year will have another baby in the house and I worry about them crawling and finding it :(. I always get shelter pets or take in people's cast-offs, I don't buy for breeds. And I think she's to young to have to put down. And I'd just like to know if this is a documented condition in other cats, is there a food that may help? A vitamin?

She's not underweight at all. Quite normal.

I will be a DG member until the 17th so hoping I can get some feedback before then. Or, am always reachable by d-mail.
