I have a duck who has been trying to hatch eggs for weeks, most have been rotten eggs and there are only 2 left. I don't think those are any good either, but she just sits and sits. She will even sit on the chicken eggs if I take these from her. If I slip a few baby ducklings (ORPHANS) under her, will she accept them? She is a PEKIN who just wants to be a mama.
Will an unsuccessful broody DUCK, adopt orphan ducklings?
I don`t know about ducks but chickens will,but do it at night so in the morning she will think her eggs hatched.Take out the eggs and put the babies under her in the dark.

DonnaB should know, she has many ducks. I couldn't respond because I don't have ducks and didn't know.
