the red coloration of this one is really nice
the only one i have been able to grow successfully is the E.pininana
would love to grow this one
but i bet it needs more sunlight then i have :-(

No, inland where it gets hot. 1 set in Lafayette, and the other in Walnut Creek. I like this one because it does not get huge but very still very entertaining!

I saw huge echiums in Mendocino last year, Dick. All over town. I was smitten! And it is cool there. They reseed like crazy.

that is a pict of E.pininana which i did grow and have a cpl seedlings coming up this year
i have tried several different ones so far and pininana has been the most successful
i do have a 3 more different ones i'm trying now including the variegated one :-)
this image is of E.pininana over 12 ft tall
i'm standing on my deck 5 ft above ground looking up
