To all of you expert bulb growers, I pose a question. Never having grown hyacinths, can potted forced hyacinths be planted in the ground? If so, when is the time to do this? Thank you in advance.
Forced Hyacinths
I always plant all my forced bulbs directly into the soil after flowering. Typically I put those bulbs in the ground in the Spring. I know hyacinths are generally planted in the fall, but if I waited until then, they would never get planted out. I have always had flowers on my bulbs the following spring, regardless as whether they have been hyacinths, daffs, tulips or crocus....
Thank you. I guess I will give it a shot!
