I agree with dianthus.

Cool. Problem is both these were pictures I took in 2006 on land that we sold in 2007 so unfortunately I have to try and find them again to.

Oh Well !!!

And this one seems to be Dianthus chinensis or at least I have seen more pictures of the China Pink that look like my picture. If it is the China Pink it is not native.

You shouldn't have any trouble finding Dianthus at Shades of Green.

Wow you know about shades of green too! It is only 3 miles from where I live now.

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh yes, I love Shades of Green. It's a long drive from Rowlett, but they have so many native and hard-to-find plants there, it's well worth the drive.

The thing that puzzles me with this flower shot is it came from my roll that I shot using my 50mm Macro with close up filter attached. As I recall these flowers were around 1/2" in size on plant's that were very spindly and around 10" tall. They look like the China Pink Dianthus flowers but China pink flowers measure 1"-1.5" in diameter and that size I would not of used my close-up filter. Anyhow it doesn't matter much unless I am able to find them growing wild again at which time I can gather some seed and Have them again.

Thanks for all the hits.
