Birds that I have taken pictures of.
CLOSED: Teddy's birds
Red-bellied Woodpecker. You can even see the red on the belly - not often that's visible!
Resin
For some reason I can get good shots of the red especially when she is on the upside down feeder, I had to take it down for a while, ran out of suet cakes, hopefully she won't decide to go elsewhere until I get more, I love to watch them eat upside down. Have not heard the Pileated lately, mnabe he moved somewhere else or its too cold for him to go too far.
My hubby went and bought some no melt suet cakes! I guess he loves the birds as much as I do, he got Raisin,Berry,Pecan,Peanut, and Insect. And all except the Berry are no melt suet. He paid $3.00 for the no melt suet. It is expensive stuff, but I guess they have to be expensive because of how they make it.
make you own. it is much cheaper. 1 c. cheap peanut butter creamy or chunky & 1 c. lard mix well, 1/4 c sugar mix well. Then add enough plain cornmeal that it is super thick. Can use dough hooks on hand mixer until it starts to put a strain on the motor. Then switch to a big wooden spoon or use your hands. If you want you can add millet, sunflower seed chips, raisins etc but do it before you make it to thick so it is well incorporated.

I broke my birdbath today, I had said that we have a raccoon that would come down the tree and drink the water and then tip the top over, well, I tried to put the top back so I could fill it with water and the base broke, I took a picture of it so you can see what I mean, it is concrete and the top is in okay shape but there is a small crack in it. So the birds may not have a birdbath from me this summer because I don't know how much a plastic one is.
Hi Teddy, This forum is for "Bird Identifications". It would be best if these type of discussions where in the Bird Watching forum. Have a good day! :-)
This is my bird pictures thread.
My point is that this forum is only for birds that you need identified.
Have a good day!
See there are two forums. The bird watching forum and the bird identification forum. So you should start your own bird thread over in the bird watching forum.
