Central Texas Birding

Looking for someone who is blogging from Central Texas. Im in Brown County watching birds at Lake Brownwood:)

This morning I have several Pair of Painted Buntings at my feeder. I also have little red finches, titmouse, carolina chickadees, a mourning dove or 2, lots of cardinals, hummingbirds, ...I feed them sunflower seeds but want to add to their menu. Any ideas? My feeder is in the garden and they all seem to love to perch on the tomato cages. I like that too because it is easy to see them there, vs trees or bushes. My Springer enjoys the birds too...but NO squirrells allowed!

Painted Buntings favorite food is white proso millet.
