Here they are looking good smelling real good :)
Looking good smelling good
They all look pretty Dana, I wish I could smell them from here. I lost every single one I have on that snow we have earlier this year.
Sorry to hear that I sent you some good ones too
Dana, your blooms are gorgeous. I just put my plumerias out on the deck this week. Who knew the weather would get to 38* this week. Hey gaseedsower, we're neighbors. Sorry that you lost your plumies in that crazy snow we had this year. I've lost several in years past to early frosts, or putting them out too early in the spring. I requested Vishanu Gold as a Valentine's gift, that was ordered this week, and came today as a potted cutting to my surprise, so I don't have to worry about rooting it. I waited this long because I didn't want the cutting mailed when we were still having cold weather and risk it being damaged.
Hey Cem9165( neighbor). I have lost so many in our last snow including brugmansias, desert rose, and brugmansia seedlings. I am almost finish building a 24 foot long Rion greenhouse, then I will start collecting back what I have lost.
I wish I had a greenhouse. One of three brugmansias that I planted in the garden several years ago is coming back from the root. It did the same last year, but didn't bloom. The other two never came back. It's hard to see the plants that you've cared for get destroyed by the crazy weather.
Dana, those are beautiful. I agreed, it takes hard work but it's worth it. Often time, Southern gardeners lose our plants to late frost, however. Something that took us by surprise. Annette, most of my plummies are in about the same size pots as yours.
I saw someone a town over from where I'm. Beautiful landscaped, and they've a front yard that was maticuluously devoted to plumerias. They sunk their pots into to the ground up to the rims. And there were hundreds of them. Boys! Why didn't I ever think of that. lol.
I'd never be able to get those pots into this GA red clay. We spent 10 hrs today planting 13 peonies and 3 Itohs, and I've discovered body parts numb this evening. LOL. Here are some of my blooms from last year. Can't wait for them to get started this year.
Dana, what is the name of the plant in the post ending in 361?
Yours looks very much like my "India" is that she?
Lily, as always, view envy ;-). Even though we're in the same zone all of your plants are ahead of mine. The plumerias have the very small new leaves now. How long have yours been outside?
They've been out since April, I think. Just after the flood we had. Thanks Annette. Most of my plumies got an early jump start. Some of them were kept in the basement with supplemental lights over winter. Thus, some kept on growing and didn't lose their leaves. Other didn't get enought florescent light, so they were asleep then. lol.
Oops, we're crossing posts. Mine is Katie Moragne, a cutting that I got from Stokes Tropicals several years ago, and finally bloomed last year.
It looks very much like "India" that I've. A very pretty one.
kind of looks like jeannie moragne, too.
WOW Lily, how big were those blooms?
Happy Mother Day to all. Thanks Dana, the storms made havoc in our State and Tenn. Miss. & Ga. too. We're in the mend. It will take some time to recover.
Annette, did you say big? LOL, that is just an illusion. The blossom is bigger than everage. By far I only noticed "Dwarf Pink Singapore" to be demunitive blossoms, as far as the size of the tree the leaves and overall. Most other cultivars are roughly the same.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY everyone.
I absolutely LOVE your rainbow one Dana! ♥♥♥
And I love that salmon-sherbert swirl! Beautimus!!!
nice! did you register that seedling?
I contacted the plumeria society they said if i didn't hear back from them don't bother to contact them again . I don't think much of them I have 5 here I would like too

oh my! i am gonna step out on a limb and say that is rude. i thought they are the organization responsible for registering new cultivars. well, whether it is official or not - YOU HAVE SOME NICE SEEDLINGS.
i hope to see cuttings of that one available one day.
I told them I bought the seeds in thailand and grew them out now I have flowers I would like to name. I don't know how Dutch Lady pulled it off
I don't know how so & so pulled it off
i don't know what the rules are, but i don't think it is costly. i guess there would be no need for registration as long as you can keep the history straight.
Funny the things that get us going lol found a big fat seed pod had opened this morning these seeds have almost a rose color tint to them
they made it! yay!
i am silly for plumeria! haha!
