I thought this was some type of flycatcher when I photographed it. It moved around very fast, dipping and coming back up like it was getting bugs but stayed in the trees next to a grassy pond area. I think I have 2 photographs but I'm not positive that they are the same bird.
A type of flycatcher?
I think now that those may not be the same bird. Unfortunately, I tried downloading to my new external drive and the result was that all of my photos got jumbled up. Problem is it's hard to tell which are pics of the same bird and even where I was at the time since they are no longer in chronological order. Big mess. I'd appreciate any help you can offer on either bird! I think the second one was the bird that was acting like a flycatcher.
Time for Dr. Who!
The bird in the first picture looks like a vireo, because of the stripe above the eye. I can't say with certainty which species it is, but it looks a lot like Philadelphia vireo, whose migration path goes across coastal Texas. (http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Philadelphia_Vireo/id)
Ditto to Philadelphia Vireo or (if not that) then Red-eyed Vireo, on the first. Can't see enough on #2 to tell!

I was thinking Warbling Vireo...no dark lores between the eye and bill area.
Possible, but I'd doubt Warbling would show so much contrast between pale underparts and dark uppers. Maybe best left as a vireo species, though.

The first pic is a Philadelphia b/c there are other pics that go with it that clearly show it to be one. The pictures got mixed up when I downloaded from the camera, so I accidentally put the first pic in this thread.
Any thoughts on pic 2 and pic 3?
#2 is an Unidentified Flitting Object ;-)
#3 is a viroe, quite possibly Philly again, but I'm not 100% certain.
