I haven't been around much, I've been too busy with everything. I recently took a vacation to Belize and Guatemala and got a few bird pictures and added dome lifers. Unfortunately, I didn't do any dedicated bird watching, these are just some pictures I took while doing other activities.I went ahead a left my unknowns and not sures with this thread.
American redstart
A few birds of Belize and Guatemala
Inland Gautemala 1 - Northern Jacana (adult)
I'll see if I can't find more. Nice shots!
Last pic - Look like Ruddy Turnstone to me.
Inland Woodpecker - May be Golden-fronted Woodpecker
"Trogon" is a juvenile Brown Jay
"Mainland belize, Female redstart?" - yep, American Redstart, female
"Barrier island 2" probably Western Sandpiper
"Barrier Island 3 a group of plovers or sandpipers" - Ruddy Turnstones
Resin
Thanks for the help on the IDs.
It looks like Inland Guatemala 3 maybe a "Masked Tityra". When I was shooting it I figured it was a Corvid, I didn't think it would be in the flycatcher family.
The Ruddy turnstones are an impressive migrator. I saw some data on them migrating from Alaska to Australia, with individuals flying 7000km non-stop.
